This isn't really finished, I want to redraw the whole thing as a glossy acrylic painting, and to make it more dimensional, and shade it properly. I might need to collaborate, or get reference or something, I don't know if I can do it. Well, enjoy, I think this picture is pretty damn cool, and I'm really glad to finally get all the colors done.
Yeah, I truly love this one ! First of all it looks fun on the whole, the characters, the colors, they attracted me immediately. And it takes a few seconds to notice all the detail (tvhead, cars, blood, planes, cracks in the road), an effect I love too. You can't go wrong when you do something with giants that attack a city , that is ALWAYS cool. Wacky ideas like giant naked dolls ( with one of them having a tv-head ) attacking a city are to be encouraged. At first the linework seems a little bit hasty (especially the horizontal squiggly lines in the air-background, although it's a good effect), but that does give it a more spontaneous childish feel, which is good. The colors are, in one word, awesome (the colorful houses ! the fire ! ) Bright and full of joy, nice shadowwork too, that adds the 3d effect. That's why I favved it.
I think you did a great job, but if you're gonna redraw this, it is gonna kick ass even more ! I think you're onto something. I don't want to interrupt your evolution and thinking process, but if I have to give some advice, try a more clear line-style ( although I'm afraid it will look a lott less spontaneous ) and make it bigger so you can add more detail to the city for example. I'd even like to do a version of my own if that is permitted ( not that I have the time right now ), as some sort of hommage, if that's ok by you of course.
keep up the smashing good work and I hope you don't mind my lengthy comments.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
